Responsible Gambling

Online gambling is meant to be fun, which is why Casino Lux is committed to providing safe, enjoyable online entertainment for our players. However, we recognize that a minority of players can develop unhealthy gambling habits and lose sight of the fact that gambling should be for fun only.

While problem gambling is not easily detected, we have several measures in place to help address the problem and ensure responsible gaming:

  • For starters, we take a strong stance against underage gambling. We do not allow players under 18 to play for real money.
  • In addition, our rigorous training program helps staff members identify signs of compulsive gambling and teaches them how to take appropriate action.
  • We set reasonable table limits on all our games to minimize the adverse financial effects of compulsive gambling.
  • We use sophisticated data analysis techniques to spot gaming behaviour consistent with problem gambling.
  • We have a policy to ban players who identify themselves as problem gamblers.

    Thus, when players recognize they have a gambling problem and ask us for help, we will:

    • Prevent them from re-entering the gaming property by closing their account, deleting their password and disabling their login name;
    • Return any money for chips they have on hand;
    • Mark their payment methods as void so they can't open a new account under another name;
    • Remove their name from our mailing list and promotional database;
    • Give them information about compulsive gambling assistance programs such as Gamblers Anonymous. (see list)

Remember: Casino Lux takes compulsive gambling very seriously. If at any time a player wishes self-exclude from our services by closing his/her account, he or she simply needs to contact us and we will fulfil that request.

How to Enjoy Gambling Responsibly

To ensure that online gaming remains a fun, entertaining form of recreation, we urge all of our players to:

  • Establish what constitutes an acceptable loss before starting to play for real money.
  • Never wager with real money if:
    • They are younger than the legal gambling age;
    • It interferes with work or other responsibilities;
    • They are in recovery for addictive disorders or dependencies;
    • They are under the influence of alcohol or other substances;
    • They are attempting to make up for prior gaming losses.
  • Make sure gaming is something they want to do, rather than need to do.
  • Stop playing when it stops being fun.
